FA1 Privacy

Everything runs on your phone.
No uploads. No accounts. No ads. No tracking.
Kids' data stays on the phone and clears after class.
What FA1 does
FA1 uses your phone's camera, or a video you pick, to find body position points (shoulders, hips, knees and so on). It uses those points to give coaching tips, scores and safety alerts. The pose and person-shape models are built into the app and run offline.
FA1 has no face recognition. It never identifies anyone by their face. In clips, other people's heads and bodies can be pixelated.
What we collect
Nothing. FA1 does not send your video, photos, pose data, names or any other information to us or to anyone else. We have no servers that receive your data. There is no analytics, advertising or tracking code in the app.
What stays on your phone
- Camera and video: processed live in the app and kept in memory only while you use it.
- Your settings: your role (Parent, Athlete or Coach) and a saved "best rep" (pose points only, no video).
- Kids' roster (coaches): first names, ankle band choices and colour and body-shape numbers. No photos, no faces. It clears when the coach turns Injury Prevention Mode off after class. It is only kept if the coach ticks "Save roster", and can be cleared at any time with "Clear".
- Clips and reports: made on your phone. They only leave the phone if you tap Save or Share and choose where they go.
Children
FA1 is used by parents and coaches, including at kids' classes. Kids' names and tracking data never leave the phone and clear after class unless the coach chooses to save the roster on that phone. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.
Permissions
- Camera: to track body movement on your phone. No face scanning. Nothing is uploaded.
- Microphone: only if you film with the iPhone camera picker. Sound stays on your phone.
- Photos: only the videos you pick, to track movement on your phone. No face scanning.
- Add to Photos: only when you choose to save a clip or report.
Web version
The iOS app contains everything it needs and makes no network requests. The web version loads the same built-in models from this site only. Like any website, this site's host sees a standard web request (such as your IP address). No video or personal data is sent.
Deleting your data
Tap "Clear" to remove the roster or a saved rep. Deleting the app removes everything FA1 stored on your phone.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above.
